Pastor Shawn came to Preston Oaks on January 21, 2007. Shawn and his wife, Sarah,  both grew up in the Roanoke Valley and were married in June 2006. Shawn has been serving local churches as a Minister to Children and Youth since 1998. He received his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological seminary in Wake Forest, NC in 2006. Pastor Shawn has a passion to see people come to the Lord and is dedicated to growing Christians through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word that is both theologically sound and practical for real life. He is also a sports nut and is a huge fan of the University of Virginia, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Yankees. Sarah and Shawn were gifted by God to have Franklin in June 2010. They spend a lot of time trying to catch him and their dog "Jeter" from getting into mischief.
